Prospective Planters

Andy & Barb Wood

Andy Wood grew up in Southern Indiana in a Methodist church. After graduating from Western Kentucky University, Andy served for 10 years on staff with a parachurch organization in Tennessee, Russia and eventually Colorado. In that time Andy grew in his organizational leadership through serving on and leading various teams. He has led teams internationally, the most significant of which was leading a team in Russia for a year. Upon finishing his time in the parachurch, Andy joined the pastoral staff of Saint Patrick Presbyterian Church in Greeley, CO where he served for a year and a half. Following his time in Colorado, Andy and his family moved to Saint Louis to pursue an MDiv at Covenant Theological Seminary where he will be graduating in May of 2011. Andy and his wife Barb have been married for seven years and have four children. Andy's passion in ministry is spending intentional time with those outside of the local church, discipling those within the church and preaching occasionally.

Brad & Hannah Edwards

Brad Edwards did not become a Christian until his junior year at Truman State University, where he graduated with a degree in Justice Systems and a commission as 2LT in the Army National Guard Military Police Corps. It was only after that world-changing semester that his future wife, Hannah, would give him the time of day (and rightfully so). Six months after graduating from college and three months after getting married, he started the MDiv program at Covenant Seminary and transferred to the Chaplain Corps. Brad and Hannah quickly fell into a young adult ministry with a vision for planting a church in St. Louis City, and moved downtown as one of several families who were part of the leadership team for what is now City Church (STL) (www.citychurchstl.org). In the two and a half years he served as a Church Planting Intern, God grew their heart for the city, developed a non-profit serving the local artist community called Art Underground (STL) (www.artundergroundstl.org), and confirmed Brad and Hannah’s joint calling to city-center ministry and church planting. Brad graduates from Covenant Seminary in December, 2010.
